The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Scientific Temper (JNCST) is a statewide initiative of the Kerala State Higher Education Council aimed at promoting scientific temper as a lifelong civic value among all sections of society.
In an era of rapid scientific and technological advancements, artificial intelligence and widespread access to information, developing scientific temper is more important than ever. JNCST seeks to strengthen the ability of individuals to think critically, question assumptions, evaluate evidence, distinguish facts from misinformation and make informed decisions.
Building on Kerala's rich legacy of literacy, public health, social reform, decentralised governance and people's science movements, JNCST provides a coordinated platform for promoting scientific awareness and rational thinking.
Through educational programmes, digital learning initiatives, public engagement and collaborative activities, JNCST aims to nurture a society that values curiosity, reason, evidence and responsible scientific inquiry.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Scientific Temper (JNCST) Learning Management System (LMS) is a digital learning platform developed to promote scientific temper, critical thinking and evidence-based understanding across Kerala.
The platform provides access to structured learning resources, online courses, interactive learning activities and educational programmes designed for diverse sections of society.
Through accessible and engaging digital learning, JNCST encourages learners to question, explore, analyse information and develop a scientific outlook in everyday life.
